The papers consist of records kept by Henry Swift as a missionary in the diocese of Niobrara, Dakota, 1872-1887; records of meetings and the by-laws of the Saint Andrews Brotherhood, Saint Cornelius Chapter, 13th United States Infantry, 1899-1901, kept by Swift while he was serving as a military chaplin in the Philippines; and the records of offices performed by Swift as chaplin, 13th Infantry, Philippine Islands and Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, 1903-1911.
